Description [src]

Normalizes input, i.e., it converts all uppercase letters in input to their lowercase equivalents with the addition of the characters ‘[‘, ‘]’, and ‘'.

The lowercase equivalents of the characters ‘[‘, ‘]’, and ‘', are {‘, ‘}’, and ‘|’ respectively.

Parameters

The input to normalize.

The argument can be NULL.

The data is owned by the caller of the function.

The value is a NUL terminated UTF-8 string.

Return value

Type: char*

A normalized copy of input.

The caller of the function takes ownership of the data, and is responsible for freeing it.

The value is a NUL terminated UTF-8 string.
